Exhibition: WATARU

Inauguration: November 9 at 12:00 p.m.

Wataru, a Japanese entrepreneur and artist, presents his paper artworks created in the museum’s laboratory between 2015 and 2018. His work reflects a creative process in which the simplicity of the images and the intensity of the colors of the paper pulp are the main protagonists.

“I was absorbed in sports and marketing and had no connection with art. However, in December 1998, while I was in Japan, I suddenly felt a wave of energy; this energy flowing within me needed to be channelled through art.”

In the early 2000s, Wataru decided to live as an artist and travelled to Catalonia, where he began his artistic career. He has collaborated with the Museu Terra (Conca de Barberà), the Augustus Forum Winery (Baix Penedès), the Prat Verd (Osona), and the Pasanau Winery (El Priorat), among others.

In collaboration with: Celler Mas de la Pansa.
